Spring and Summer 2022 Japanese Language Camps in Tottori Prefecture!

Only 55,000 JPY for 15 classes and 6 nights accommodation!

Study/JLPT levels- to be decided based on demand:

If you would like to join a Japanese language camp in spring or summer, please send us a message saying which level you’d like to study and during which study week. Once we have received 4 requests of the same level, we will lock it in.

THE BASICS:

  • Classes: Study levels to be decided, based on demand (see chart below). 15 x 50 minute classes with a highly experienced native Japanese teacher. Mostly 9am to 11.50am with two short breaks. Class size is 4-10 people.

  • Stay: 6 nights stay at a local inn in a peaceful fishing village at the base of Mount Daisen. Room-share basis (private room available subject to a supplement payment and availability). Self-catering basis - kitchen has large and well equipped kitchen.

  • Extra: Fun optional activities including hiking, cycling, cooking, Japanese giant salamander conservation and more!

  • Only 55,000 Japanese Yen!

Summer Camp 2022:

When: August 21st - August 27th

Group 1: : August 21st - August 27th. The course covers elements that are equivalent to JLPT N2, with prior ability equivalent to JLPT N3.

Group 2: : 6 nights accommodation provided.

Group 3: : 6 nights accommodation provided.

Spring Camp 2023:

When: TBA, Based on demand and covid-19 situation

Group 1: : 6 nights accommodation provided.

Where:

Bushido Japanese Language School and Richiyado Guesthouse are based in the fishing village of Mikuriya in Daisen Town, Tottori Prefecture. It is situated at the base of Mount Daisen, in the Miho Bay of the Sea of Japan. Nawa Station on the JR San-in Line is a 7 minute walk from the guesthouse and school building. Nawa Station is 25 minutes by local train from Yonago Station, the regional transport hub. Yonago has a small airport with daily flights to and from Tokyo Haneda, operated by ANA.

Free time and optional activities:

Mikuriya is ideally situated to further explore the San-in Region and is serviced by a local train on the JR San-in Line. There are beaches within walking distance. Mount Daisen is a short distance away and is a hiker’s paradise. You can also simply relax and enjoy the peaceful countryside living. 

Extra activities including cycle tours, cooking classes and traditional arts and crafts will be available at an additional cost. 

Course Price:

55,000 JPY

A deposit of 50 percent (27,500 JPY) when booking is required to reserve your place.

Includes: 15 x 50 minute Japanese group lessons with a native Japanese teacher. 6 nights accommodation on a twin-share basis.

Does not include: Any meals including breakfast (guests have access to a well-equipped kitchen with large fridge). Optional excursions and activities.

Covid-19 measures and considerations:

  • Temperatures will be taken every morning before classes begin.

  • Temperatures will be taken on arrival at guesthouse.

  • Social distancing measures will be put into place during lesson times. The classroom is large and well ventilated.

  • In the event of Japan declaring an emergency situation which forbids cross-prefectural travel, the course fee will be refunded in full.

Our philosophy and which class is best for you?:

We don't have a fixed syllabus as such for our holiday classes. However, our expert and experienced instructors have created and will teach courses based on the parameters in the chart below. Our style is not overly serious but with the ultimate goal of improving the Japanese level of our learners. Hopefully we will have fun, too!
